Sean Miller has coached the Wildcats to their longest top 5 streak in school history

Ever since the Arizona Wildcats went on the road and defeated San Diego State 69-60 on Nov. 14, 2013, the Wildcats have remained among the top 5 teams in the Associated Press Top 25 poll, a program-record 24 consecutive weeks.
They were No. 5 in the poll following the win over the Aztecs and have stayed in the top 5 through last week, compiling a 35-4 record in that span.
The record inceased to 24 weeks in the top 5 when the new poll was released this morning. The third-ranked Wildcats (10-0) won both games last week convincingly, including an 83-50 romp over a Michigan team that was ranked No. 17 two weeks ago.
Arizona’s 24 appearances in the Top 5 over this season and last is by far the most in the nation, topping second-place Syracuse by 11 weeks. The Orangemen have been ranked in the top 10 in 13 weeks in 2013-14 and 2014-15 followed by Michigan State (12), Wisconsin (12), Kentucky (11) and Wichita State (10).
The Wildcats’ previous longest streak in the top 5 was 22 weeks over the 2002-03 and 2003-04 seasons.
Arizona has been ranked in 46 straight AP polls, including 26 straight weeks in the top 10. Only four schools — Arizona, Duke, Kansas and Louisville — have been ranked in every AP poll over the last two-plus seasons.
Other active Arizona streaks of note: Nation’s best 37-game regular-season non-conference wins, 28 victories at McKale Center, 31 wins with a healthy Brandon Ashley from the tip to final buzzer and 55 games without allowing an opponent to eclipse the 80-point mark.
