[tps_header]1988 second round (50th pick overall)[/tps_header]
Taken by: Phoenix
NBA duration: 15 seasons, 910 games played.
Facts: A pro team from West Germany tried to lure Kerr away from Phoenix after the draft but Kerr stuck with the Suns and the league minimum then at $100,000. Kerr was the very last pick of the second round in 1988. He lasted as many as seasons (15) in the NBA as the No. 1 overall pick Danny Manning from that year. Only three other players from that draft lasted at least 15 seasons: Rod Strickland (19th pick, 17 seasons); Mark Bryant (21st pick, 15 seasons); and Grant Long (second round, 33rd pick, 15 seasons).
