Adam Moraga was a First-Team All-Southern Arizona selection last spring. He helped lead Sunnyside to a 23-10 season and he recorded an 8-1 record on the mound with 65 strikeouts in only 60 innings of work.

His family announced his decision to commit to play for Pima yesterday. Moraga completes his senior season next year.

“I was an Aztec softball player, now my son will be an Aztec baseball player with the opportunity to not only pitch at the next level under a great coaching staff, but continue his education on scholarship,” his mother Selina said.

“That was a goal he set for himself and he accomplished it. He had some offers outside of town but I have to admit I am glad he decided to stay home, it’s nice to know we can still go to games and continue to support him here in Tucson. I am so proud of Adam.”
