T.J. McConnell helped his case in the Sixers’ point guard battle yesterday against former Arizona teammate Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and the Brooklyn Nets. McConnell, an undrafted rookie, hit a go-ahead shot with 6.5 seconds remaining to lift the Sixers to a 97-95 preseason win in Albany, N.Y. McConnell, who nailed a 17-foot jumper for the game’s decisive basket, posted seven points, six assists and four steals in 20 minutes.
