Ivan Estrella graduated from Tucson High in 2014 and moved over to Pima. As a senior, Estrella batted .351 with 15 RBIs.
He committed to play for Texas Rio Grande Valley on Monday.
“As his parents we could not be prouder,” his parents Erick and Sylvia wrote. “Ivan works hard and deserves all that comes his way. Hard work pays off!”
Erick Estrella is the head baseball coach at Flowing Wells.
Texas Rio Grande Valley was founded in 2013 after the state combined Texas-Pan American and Texas Brownsville. The school competes in the WAC.
