Everybody by now knows that Arizona athletic director Greg Byrne attended ASU as did legendary softball coach Mike Candrea.

The migration to Tucson from Tempe continues with former Sun Devil defensive tackle Vincent Amey serving in his first year as a football analyst with the Wildcats. He assists with the day-to-day duties of program management with a focus on film breakdown.

Amey, a four-year letterman at ASU, was a member of the Sun Devils’ 1996 and 1997 Pac-10 title teams. He started in the 1997 Rose Bowl and was an all-conference honorable mention.

Amey’s background with Arizona special teams coach Charlie Ragle is behind him coming to Tucson when Rich Rodriguez arrived in 2012. Amey was Ragle’s defensive line coach at Scottsdale Chaparral.
