USA Diving will send a team of six up-and-coming junior divers to a FINA Grand Prix meet in Bolzano, Italy according to a news release. Competition will be held July 15-17.
Eighteen-year-old Zach Cooper (Indiana) and 17-year-old Delaney Schnell (Tucson High) will be the veterans of the team as they have previously represented the U.S. at the senior international level. For 13-year-old Tarrin Gilliland (Texas), 14-year-old Maria Coburn (Texas), 15-year-old Max Flory (Virginia) and 17-year-old Brooke Schultz (Arkansas), the Grand Prix meet will be their first senior international competition.
The roster was selected from results at the 2015 USA Diving Winter National Championships, which were held in Indianapolis in December.
Schnell placed fifth in women’s 10-meter at Winter Nationals and was sixth at the recent U.S. Olympic Team Trials. She made her senior international debut last year, representing the U.S. at the Pan American Games and two other meets
