Arizona Wildcats quarterback commit Braxton Burmeister last week set the San Diego Section for passing touchdowns.
On Friday night, he set another San Diego record.
The senior from La Jolla Country Day completed 12 of 20 passes for 224 yards, giving him 9,164 for his career and breaking the record of Grossmont’s Anthony Lawrence, who played from 2011 to 2013. Burmeister broke Lawrence’s career record for touchdown passes last week; Burmeister is up to 104 TD throws in high school.
He threw for four touchdowns in Friday’s 63-3 victory over Francis Parker. He also had a 90-yard touchdown run.
Burmeister is also the San Diego Section record-holder for total career yards, and he soon will pass Lawrence for most completions.
In the video below, Burmeister talks last week about enrolling early at Arizona, among other topics.
