Ray Smith put some perspective on his injury after suffering season-ending ACL tears in each of the previous two seasons (before his senior year in high school and freshman season last year)
@raysmith2297 I'm thankful for what god has given me. End of discussion. Thank you but save the sorrows.

"We're all in shock what happened to Ray and we hope it's not serious" Dusan Ristic told Pac-12 Networks unprovoked. Wasn't asked about him.

Miller: "We don't have any depth. We're going to have to play walk-ons, 3 guards a lot, teach Lauri (Markkanen) small forward."

On the bright side …
Sean Miller said Kadeem Allen is the best defender he's ever coached. Even better than T.J. McConnell, Nick Johnson and Rondae.

Like the offensive potential of Dusan Ristic & Lauri Markkanen front court for Arizona. Each have quality hands & impressive touch.

Alkins could be Arizona's wildcard this season, player who'll be worth some wins deep in the conference season. Doesn't look like freshman pic.twitter.com/vJr8oeiUeq

"He could emerge as one of the best that plays the position" -Miller on PJC. Miller says that he asked PJC to buy in last year, and he has.
