Former Arizona Wildcat wing Solomon Hill had the dunk of the night in the NBA … except it wasn’t technically a dunk.
It was a foul.
Hill, in his first season with the New Orleans Pelicans after three seasons with the Indiana Pacers, took a fast-break pass near the 3-point line, drove the lane and jumped OVER the Celtics’ Marcus Smart for the monster jam.
And by over, we mean o-v-e-r … as in Hill didn’t touch him.
But the refs fell for Smart’s subsequent flop and called a charge. Yeah, those charge/block situations are tough calls, except when they’re not. And this one wasn’t.
But, hey, congrats anyways to Hill, who gets his props, if not his points.
