Pusch Ridge scoring machine Bree Olson signed with Colorado Christian Wednesday night in a ceremony held in the school’s gym. Olson averaged 12 points a game last year after sitting out her sophomore year due to injury.
“I guess I didn’t really think that playing in college was a realistic goal for me after tearing my ACL until this summer when coaches started reaching out to me,” Olson told me.
“I was very surprised when colleges actually wanted me! I felt like missing a whole season of basketball really set me back on developing and improving my game so I’m just very excited that I get to continue to do what I love!”
Despite missing her sophomore year, Olson is sitting at 540 career points.
“Bree is a true success story!” her club coach Chris Klassen of the Tucson Rattlers added.
“She battled back from an ACL injury, stayed extremely dedicated. Is a multi-sport athlete at Pusch Ridge and worked extremely hard for six months each year with our Tucson Rattlers. I couldn’t be happier for her and her family! She is going to do great things up there!”
