First-Team All-Southern Arizona standout Sebastian Spencer committed to Colorado State University-Pueblo on Saturday.

Spencer recorded 14 touchdowns for Mountain View last year and he averaged 13.7 yards a carry to go along with his 908 yards receiving. He led the team with 1,966 total yards with over 700 return yards included. In all, Spencer accounted for almost 180 yards of offense per game for the Mountain Lions.

Spencer also collected 21 tackles from his safety position.

“It is very special for my family because I’ve had to overcome a lot of adversity to get to this point and it makes my family proud to see me succeed,” Spencer said.

“Personally, this is something I’ve dreamed of doing since I was six so I look forward to making the most out of my opportunity and hope to achieve all of my long-term goals.”
