The Salpointe boys beat No. Saguaro 2-1 in overtime Tuesday night to advance to the 4A championship game set for Saturday at 11:30 a.m. against top-seeded Coronado.

Ranked third, the Lancers missed the state playoffs last year after the team dropped to 25th in the old Division II conference. The Lancers won back-to-back state championships in 2012 and 2013 and have won six overall under head coach Wolfgang Weber.
