LITTLE LEAGUE: Rincon to play Copper Hills in 9-11 championship

Week Three:

8-10 Baseball is taking shape at both Freedom Park and Palo Verde Park with Rincon, Sunnyside, Copper Hills and Randolph advancing in the Winner’s Bracket.

Rincon is set to play Copper Hills for the 9-11 championship scheduled for Wednesday night at Freedom Park. Rincon (3-0) sent Copper Hills (3-1) to the Elimination Bracket on Saturday by a close score of 4-3. Copper Hills has to beat Rincon twice.

Copper Hills, Rincon, Sunnyside and Santa Rita are all alive in Little League action taking place at Purple Heart Park. Rincon and Copper Hills will square off Wednesday night for a shot at the championship series.

Junior League Baseball is moving along at Manzanita Park with all five teams still alive.

The State Senior Softball Tournament starts Wednesday at Mission Manor Park and the State 50/70 Tournament starts Thursday in Nogales.
