Friday Results:

Four teams remain at the 8-10 Baseball playoffs taking place at Palo Verde Park.

Copper Hills beat Rincon 8-7 to win the 9-11 Baseball championship. The team from Sahuarita beat Rincon twice in the championship series after falling to Rincon in the Winner’s Bracket. The 9-11 State Playoffs will be held in Show Low.

Copper Hills and Rincon will face each other tonight for the Little League title at Purple Heart Park. Rincon (4-1) has to beat Copper Hills (4-0) to force an “if game” scheduled for Monday. Copper Hills sent Rincon to the Elimination Bracket on Wednesday by a score of 9-4.

Sunnyside and American are facing each other tonight for a shot at Randolph in Junior League Baseball action taking place at Manzanita Park.

Sunnyside beat Sierra Vista 8-1 to advance to the championship of the State Senior Softball tournament taking place at Mission Manor Park. The championship is scheduled for Tuesday night.

Sunnyside beat Western 4-3 in extra innings to advance to the championship of the 50/70 state tournament taking place in Nogales. Western and Sierra Vista are battling it out Saturday morning. The winner will face Sunnyside on Monday night.
