Triple Crown Sports 16U World Series
San Diego: July 10-15
Firecrackers AZ Wedman went 8-4 at the Triple Crown Sports 16U World Series held in San Diego this past week to win the Silver Bracket championship. The team from Tucson beat CaliGold 16U 6-0 in the championship game on Saturday.
Marana standout Kristina Wilson went 2-for-3 with a double and three RBI to lead the Firecrackers. Lauren Wedman (Sahuaro) went 2-3 with a double and two RBI and Zoe Corral (Salpointe) had a single and scored three runs. Analeisa Bejarano (Tucson) had the other RBI.
Tucson standout Taylor Ramirez picked up the win.
