Bid on a chance to win dinner for five with ex-Arizona star Reggie Geary

Reggie Geary is known as the arguably the best perimeter defender in Arizona Wildcats basketball history — and as an all-round good guy.

And now you can have dinner with him and three of your friends.

A dinner for five — including Geary — will be part of the live auction at this year’s Masterpiece Musicale, benefiting the Tucson Arizona Boys Chorus. The event takes place at the historic Hacienda del Sol Guest Ranch and Resort on Friday, November 3, at 6 p.m.

The dinner includes food and beverage at an upscale Tucson restaurant, a signed basketball and photo of Geary, and the opportunity to stroll down memory lane and talk Arizona hoops with the standout guard, who played for coach Lute Olson from 1992 to 1996.

Geary played professionally for several seasons, including in the NBA and overseas, before launching a coaching career that includes stops as an assistant at Arizona and, most recently, as a head coach in Japan’s professional league.

He and his family live in Tucson.

Geary’s younger son is now a member of the Tucson Arizona Boys Chorus, and Geary said he is happy to have a chance to give back to the group.

“I’m glad to help an organization that has shaped the lives of so many young boys over its 78-year history,” Geary said. “My son loves being a part of the Chorus, and we want to help to ensure that any boy who wants to can be a part of it.”
