Cloudy skies and chilly breezes couldn’t get in the way of a fun-filled Saturday morning in the park – especially with the Lightning Bolts and Ninjas squaring off in a youth soccer match.

The Lightning Bolts and Ninjas play in the 6-7 age group of the National Youth Sports (NYS) organization and they met on the pitch at Dan Felix Park with the Bolts holding on for a 2-1 win. Teaching the game with fun and proper sportsmanship is the name of the game, however, which means both teams came out on top.

“We wanted to win so I tried my best on my goal,” Ninja forward Luis said. “But they had good players too, so I had to kick it hard. We will win next time.”
