D-12 LITTLE LEAGUE SOFTBALL

San Xavier beat Copper Hills 14-4 Thursday night at Mission Manor Park to capture the District 12 Little League Softball championship. San Xavier will join Tucson Mountain in Flagstaff for the state tournament starting Thursday, July 5.

Copper Hills beat San Xavier 4-2 in the first round of the district tournament but San Xavier batted back through the elimination bracket with a 7-6 win over Sunnyside and then back-to-back wins over Copper Hills including an 8-7 victory Thursday night to avoid elimination.
