JUNIOR BASEBALL WEST REGION
Nogales National lost to Hawaii 5-0 Friday to take third place at the Junior League Baseball Regional held in San Jose. Hawaii (5-1) will face Southern California (4-0) in the championship game scheduled for Saturday. Hawaii has to beat Southern California twice under the double-elimination format.
The winner will advance to the Junior League World Series starting Aug. 12 in Taylor, Michigan.
Hawaii limited Nogales to two hits with Demetrio Crisantes connecting on a double and Hatsue Denogean picking up a single.

The Little League West Regional is set for San Bernardino starting on Aug. 5. Sunnyside will face Hawaii that opening Sunday and the game will be streamed by ESPN.

Firebirds Post 7 is set to face Colorado to open up the American Legion West Region Tournament on Wednesday, Aug. 8. The tournament is taking place in Denver from Aug. 8-12.
