Stalled comeback has Southwest NTIS playing in USA Baseball 15U 3rd place game

Nick Arias (Tucson), Alessandro Castro (Pusch Ridge), Andres Flores (Tucson) and Mason White (Salpointe) are in Cary, North Carolina as part of the USA Baseball 15U National Team Identification Series (NTIS), playing for the Southwest squad.

Down 3-0 to South Texas, SW NTIS loaded the bases in the bottom of the seventh but came up one run short in a 3-2 loss. The loss moves SW NTIS to the third place game to be played Sunday afternoon against the loser of North Atlantic and Southern California.

White drew a bases-loaded walk to cut the lead down to 3-1 with one out and Flores drew another bases-loaded walk one out later to make it 3-2 but South Texas was able to get the next batter to strike out looking for the win.

White finished the game 1-for-2 with the RBI.
