Ironwood Ridge’s Nick Warren goes 2-2 but Southwest falls to Northwest 8-5

Javier Escalante (Flowing Wells), Ruben Villaescusa (Tucson) and Nick Warren (Ironwood Ridge) are in Cary, North Carolina, taking part in the USA Baseball 14U National Team Identification Series (NTIS). The local standouts are part of the Southwest squad.

Southwest fell to Northwest 8-5 in the Elite Eight round Friday afternoon. The Southwest team moves over to the consolation bracket where they will face Midwest on Saturday.

Warren finished 2-for-2 with an RBI against Northwest and Villaescusa picked up a hit.
