Walden Grove brothers, Alex and Jordan Lopez, received their APS Digital Print/Tucson Conquistadores Southern Arizona Players of the Week award before practice on Wednesday night.

The twins shined in a 58-0 win over Douglas on Friday and set several school records in the process. Alex set a single-game passing record of 401 yards and Jordan set the single-game receiving record of 240 yards and the single-game touchdown catch record of 5.

Alex tied the 5 TD-pass record he set earlier in the year but the duo combined for a 93-yard TD connection against Douglas, which is also a new school record.

The Red Wolves improved to 5-2 overall and 2-0 in the 4A Gila Region.

Walden Grove head coach Corey Noble is assisted by a couple of former University of Arizona Wildcats in Kyle Day and Brian Berg. Day was a kicker and receiver for Sahuarita before joining the Wildcats and Berg played during the Desert Swarm era.
