Terrell Hayward named APS Digital Print/Tucson Conquistadores; Arizona Cardinals & ED Doherty Player of the Week

Cienega standout Terrell Hayward did it all against the very best. The senior receiver/safety caught 5 passes for 148 yards and collected 2 touchdowns in a 44-28 win over Marana Friday night. He added 32 yards rushing, 3 tackles, an interception and an 81-yard kickoff return for another TD.

In all, Hayward collected 265 all-purpose yards and scored 3 TDs. Hayward also punted twice for a total of 70 yards. Hayward was also added to the Ed Doherty Award list, recognizing the best player in the state.

In addition, Hayward has been named the Arizona Cardinals and Wells Fargo “High School Player-of-the-Week.”

A glass trophy with the statistics acknowledging the award will be presented to Hayward by representatives from the team, Cardinals Cheerleaders and Cardinals team mascot Big Red at a ceremony at Cienega on Friday.
