Sahuaro junior forward Alyssa Brown now has seven Division I scholarship offers after NAU and Hampton both extended their offers recently.
Brown, who already has 1,162 career points with two seasons remaining with the Cougars, has also earned offers from Elon, Grand Canyon, St. John’s, Bethune-Cookman and Maryland-Baltimore County.
Brown is a 6-foot-1 forward who also has 446 rebounds in her career. She has a realistic chance to earn at least 2,000 points and 1,000 rebounds in her four years with the Cougars.
Despite playing mostly in the paint, she is also gifted at ball-handling and passing with 103 assists and her defense (179 steals and 79 blocked shots in her career) is impressive as well.
Arizona, BYU, West Virginia, Alabama, San Diego, San Diego State and Nevada — among others — have also shown interest. Brown still has another year before she can start taking official recruiting visits.
