Thanks to families and representatives of Sunnyside Little League, we are able to see some of the action in photos from Tuesday’s game against Hawaii in the West Regional Little League tournament at Houghton Stadium at San Bernardino, Calif.
Sunnyside lost in eight innings 6-5 but is still alive in the tournament. In order to claim the regional title, Sunnyside must win four games in five days. This must happen:
- Tuesday at noon, beat Nevada.
- Wednesday at 7 p.m., beat the winner of Southern California-Utah.
- Friday at 6 p.m., beat the loser of Hawaii-Northern California.
- Saturday at 6 p.m., beat the winner of Hawaii-Northern California for the championship and the right to advance to the Little League World Series at Williamsport, Pa.
A special thanks to Amanda Romo and Karla Moraga for the following photos. They are moms of a couple of the players — Amanda with Andrew Romo and Karla with Izaiah Moraga.
