Tucson 38, Phoenix North 14

— QB Ayden Ortiz threw a 46-yard TD pass to WR Devin Bracamonte.

— Ortiz threw a 21-yard pass to WR Daniel Becerra for a TD.

— Ortiz had a 6-yard TD pass to WR Elias Johnson.

— Ortiz had a 1-yard TD run.

Buena 42, Empire 7

BUENA

— QB Jovoni Borbon completed 3 of 4 passes for 113 yards and two TDs. He also rushed for 105 yards on six carries with two TDs.

— WR Keyon Taylor had three catches for 127 yards and two TDs.

— LB Jesse Avina has 13 tackles, including five for loss.

— DE Damian Brown had 12 tackles, three for loss.

Peoria Centennial 38, Cienega 14

CIENEGA

— LB Isaiah Webb 44-yard fumble return for TD.

— QB Bobby Beltz 5-yard TD run

Campo Verde 28, Ironwood Ridge 14

IRONWOOD RIDGE

— QB Fabian Figueroa 56-yard TD pass to Thomas Smith and a 2-yard scoring run.

MOUNTAIN VIEW

— LB Aaron Logsdon had 13 tackles, one for loss.

Desert View 33, Marana 14

Marana is 11-9 against Desert View dating back to 1985. Desert View (2-1) limited the Tigers to only 233 yards in total offense and did not allow a passing touchdown.

MARANA

— Marana freshman QB Samuel Brown completed 11 of 22 pass attempts for 122 yards.

— LB Weylin Jenkins had 11 tackles, including two for loss.

Nogales 17, Rio Rico 14

Nogales is 12-0 against Rio Rico since 1997.

Pueblo 41, Cholla 15

PUEBLO

— RB Julian Lopez had 15 rushes for 172 yards and a TD.

— DB Gianni Frias had an INT.

— DB Zaid Gamez had a pick-6 for 75 yards.

CHOLLA

— LB Russell Adams had 13 tackles, including one for loss.

Amphi 38, Flowing Wells 0

AMPHI

— QB Kevin Silva completed 9 of 15 passes for 161 yards with two TDs.

— WR Julian Campos had four receptions for 90 yards and a TD.

— LB Julian Encinas, 11 tackles, 2 for loss.

Rincon 61, Tanque Verde 14

Rincon (2-1) racked up 387 rushing yards against Tanque Verde.

— RB Austin Barrow had 158 yards rushing on 10 carries with four TDs.

— RB J.J. Haygood carried the ball nine times for 105 yards and three TDs.

— QB Preston Silvas ran nine times for 91 yards and two TDs.

Sahuaro 20, Tempe Marcos de Niza 13

Sahuaro’s defense limited Marcos de Niza to only 145 yards in total offense and the Cougars (4-0) allowed their first (and only) rushing touchdown of the season.

Casa Grande 33, Walden Grove 21

Walden Grove is 1-2 against Casa Grande in their brief history.

Douglas 50, Catalina 0

Douglas holds a 20-17 lead on Catalina dating back to 1963.

— DB Christian Estrella ran two interceptions back for a touchdown == from 45 yards and 27 yards.

— DB Fernando De la Riva had an interception return for a touchdown in the fourth giving Douglas a 43-0 lead.

— QB Trey Rose scored twice, both on a 1-yard runs.

Canyon del Oro 21, Pusch Ridge 0

CDO

— RB Gavin Davis had 128 yards on 20 carries with a TD.

— QB/DB Montana Neustadter rushed for 101 yards on 11 carries and a TD and also had an interception on defense.

Sabino 20, Catalina Foothills 14

SABINO

— QB A.J. Skaggs completed 23 of 38 passes for 196 yards with three TDs and an INT.

— WR Diego Armijo had seven receptions for 58 yards

— FS Danny McAllister had a team-high 10 tackles

CATALINA FOOTHILLS

— QB Conner Alubowicz completed 13 of 24 pass attempts for 214 yards with two TDs and two INTs.

–WR Derrick Williams had four receptions for 84 yards and a TD.

— LB Will Parker tied for the team lead with 10 tackles.

— TE/LB Garrick Krautz had 10 tackles including one for loss and also blocked a FG. He caught two passes for 73 yards and a TD.

Coolidge 41, Sahuarita 12

SAHUARITA

— RB Cristian Gonzales ran for a 58-yard score and caught a 32-yard TD pass. He finished with 145 total yards.

Santa Cruz Valley 48, Kingman 8

SANTA CRUZ VALLEY

— RB/DB Hunter Ogle ran 12 times for 113 yards and two TDs. He also had a team-high 13 tackles with two for loss.

Benson 43, Santa Rita 0

BENSON

— RB Carson Barney had 67 yards rushing on eight carries.

— LB Cory Thum had seven tackles including a sack.

SANTA RITA

— LB Alex Durgin had a game-high 12 tackles.

Bisbee 20, Miami 14

BISBEE

— QB R.J Wright completed 10 of 14 passes for 138 yards with a TD.

— RB Hunter Perry gained 94 yards on 18 carries with a TD.

— RB/LB David Ballesteros rushed seven times for 84 yards and also recorded two sacks.

— WR/DB Dano Lopez had 63 yards on five catches and he also had an interception.

Antelope 49, Tombstone 0

Antelope is 7-4 against Tombstone since 1965.

Hayden 42, Baboquivari 20

Hayden is 9-2 over Baboquivari dating back to 1970.

Anthem Prep 22, St. David 16

ST. DAVID

— QB Logan Davis completed 15 of 20 passes for 174 yards.

— RBY Taylon Haynie gained 90 yards on 13 carries and a TD.

— WR/DB Reo Larson had six catches for 55 yards and also had 22 tackles, one for loss.

— Mogollon is 6-2 against Valley Union since 1996.
