The Division II State Golf Play-In Tournament is taking place on Tuesday at the Aguila Golf Course in Laveen. Two at-large berths for the state championships will be handed out and the Walden Grove boys and Rincon/UHS girls are taking part in the 18-hole event.
Walden Grove standout Gabriel Escalera and Rincon/UHS standout Maddie Greene have already qualified as individuals. Greene is the daughter of former University of Arizona basketball standout and former Salpointe coach Kim Conway Greene.
