Benson standout Emily Darwin scored 13 points in a 51-17 win over the Gregory School Tuesday night at the Boyd Baker Invitational taking place at Amphitheater High School. In doing so, Darwin joined the “1000-Point Club” in only her third game in her junior season.

5-foot-10 junior scored 433 points as a freshman and 511 as a sophomore and she is averaging 16 points a game. At her rate, she could break 2,000 career points by the time she graduates. Only seven girls from Southern Arizona have scored 2,000 points or more in a career.
