Cactus Classic: SAVA outlasts Club Cactus 2-1 to win 18U Championship

The Southern Arizona Volleyball Academy (SAVA) 18 Black outlasted Club Cactus 18-Mizuno 25-22, 16-25, 17-15 in the championship match of the 18U Division at the Cactus Classic Invitational on Monday.

The Cactus Classic ran from Saturday, Jan. 19 – Monday, Jan. 20 at the Tucson Convention Center and the Sporting Chance Center. This was the 25th edition of the Classic involving over 130 teams and nearly 2,000 athletes from 12U to 18U divisions including teams from Mexico.

COMPLETE RESULTS

SAVA went 9-0 at the Classic with three straight wins on Monday and Club Cactus went 8-1.
