Former Tucson High standout Eddie Leon was drafted No. 3 in the June Secondary Phase in 1966, making his selection the highest draft ever from Southern Arizona. Leon was also drafted No. 9 in 1965 in the Regular Phase.
Former Sahuaro standout Sam Khalifa was drafted No. 7 in the 1982 Regular Phase and former Sunnyside standout Ramon Rosthenhausler was drafted No. 10 in the 1984 Secondary Phase.
Former Sabino softball standout Molly Johnson was taken No. 2 in the 2010 NPF Draft and former Cholla standout Sean Elliott went No. 3 in the 1989 NBA Draft.
