All Sports Tucson Talk: Discussing MLB Draft, Arizona Softball Recruiting Class, 2020 High School Football Schedules

We made the effort to record our All Sports Tucson Talk show at our sponsor Wings Over Broadway at Camino Seco during its reopening on Monday.

The three videos below include an interview with Wings Over Broadway owner J.J. Esquibel and a discussion between myself and Troy Hutchison about the MLB draft that begins tomorrow with the first round, Arizona’s stellar softball recruiting class and the 2020 high school football schedules that were officially released by the AIA last week.

My brother Andy could not make it to Wings Over Broadway per doctor’s orders to stay out of the public due to the COVID-19 pandemic with him undergoing exploratory surgery on Thursday to have a spot checked on his bladder.

Two local players of note should have their names called tomorrow in the first round of the MLB draft: Former Cienega standout Nick Gonzales, the national player of the year who played second base at New Mexico State, and Arizona catcher Austin Wells.

Gonzales is projected to be among the top five picks of the draft while Wells is forecast to go between picks No. 25 to 30 in the first round.
