Alyssa Brown sends Gatorade Player of the Year donation to “Pay It Forward”

As the Arizona Girls Basketball Gatorade Player of the Year, Sahuaro standout Alyssa Brown was given the chance to direct a $1,000 donation to a charity of her choice and she chose “Pay It Forward.”

Pay It Forward was established in 2012 to help, “…bring individuals and our communities together as one in hopes of fulfilling the needs of low-income families and Veterans,” according to the charity led by Engel Indo.

“Our purpose is to complement the already established city, state, and county assistance programs and charities, in a collaborative effort, with the hopes of eliminating hunger, homelessness, loss of basic human needs, and poverty.”
