Lester Medford, a 2011 graduate of Amphi High School, will play his fifth season of professional basketball for MKS Start Lublin of the Polish Basketball League in 2020-21.
Medford, a 5-foot-10 and 175-pound point guard, played last season in Latvia for VEF Riga. He averaged 14.1 points and 6.2 assists in the Basketball Champions League.
VEF Riga was deemed champion of the Pafbet Latvian Basketball League after the postseason tournament was canceled amid COVID-19 pandemic concerns. The team was first in the regular-season standings.
Medford is the son of former Arizona basketball and football standout Kelvin Eafon, who is part of the KCUB 1290-AM pregame and postgame shows for Wildcat football and basketball games.
Medford has also played professionally in Hungary, Switzerland, Lithuania and North Macedonia.
