Salpointe standout senior Cade McGee announced his commitment to play for Gonzaga on Tuesday. McGee (6-1, 195) batted .571 with three RBI to help lead the Lancers to a 4-0 record before the season was cut short last spring. An infielder and a right-handed pitcher, McGee made seven appearances on the mound in his career and he was part of the 2019 4A state championship.
McGee took the mound in the seventh inning of that championship game against Mesquite and he picked up the save in the 4-3 victory. It was the first championship in program history.

Excited to announce my commitment to play division 1 baseball at Gonzaga University. Huge thanks to my friends, family, and coaches who have gotten me to this point. #ZAGSUP @troskybaseball @CoachRuiz_TN pic.twitter.com/DtYtqeJpvY
