“I am so happy that Sarah is making her way to St. Catherine University in Minnesota to play for Coach Colleen Powers,” Desert Thunder head coach Shannon Woolridge said. “Sarah is right up there with some of the most skilled, talented, and hardest working players I have ever been around in 18 years of coaching. Her enthusiasm and love for the game is off the charts!”

“Hastings is very lucky to be getting such a versatile and dedicated player like Olivia!,” Woolridge added. “She pitches and can also play multiple positions on defense. Not only does Olivia have the opportunity to shine on the field, but it’s the perfect academic fit for her to work on her nursing degree. It’s definitely a win-win!”

Gilbert batted .600 with two RBI and a triple to help the Dorados to a 10-3 record last spring.

NOTE: The Broncos are an NAIA program competing in the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC).

Elise Muñoz from Salpointe to play for Pima

Muñoz batted .434 for the Lancers last spring with 15 RBI and two doubles to help lead her team to an 11-5 record.
