Cienega standouts Diego Guerrero and Daniel Henely tied for 23rd at the AIA D-I state championship held at the OMNI Tucson National Sonoran Course on Thursday. Guerrero shot par (70) on the final day.
The D-II tournaments take place next week.
University of Arizona commit Johnny Walker took six with a 1-under par 139. Walker, a senior for Hamilton, won the individual title last year and this was his second team championship in a row.

Andy Morales was recognized by the AIA as the top high school reporter in 2014, he was awarded the Ray McNally Award in 2017, a 2019 AZ Education News award winner and he has been a youth, high school and college coach for over 30 years.
