Bernal Fitness & Performance to Host Youth Sports Camps at Sporting Chance

Bernal Fitness & Performance will host two youth sports camps at the Sporting Chance Center this month, including one Wednesday on Veteran’s Day — the Break-a-Sweat Sports Camp from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for kids ages 10-12.

Activities for participants include playing group games in basketball, flag football, dodgeball, kickball and relay races. Cost per camper is $100 with multi-camper discounts.

Bernal’s Mamba AZ Basketball Training will take place Nov. 22 and 29 and Dec. 13 and 20 for boys and girls in grades 1-8.

Registration for both is at AZBernalFit.com.

COVID-19 precautions include temperature screenings before entering the center, frequent handwashing and use of hand sanitizer, daily cleaning and disinfecting and facemasks required for all campers and staff.

The organizer of these events is Adam Bernal, who worked for the Pima County Parks & Recreation for 16 years as coordinator at community centers in Sahuarita, Three Points and Picture Rocks.

Since 2019, Bernal has worked as an assistant boys and girls cross country coach under David Levario at Desert View High School. He is also an assistant boys basketball coach and track and field coach with the Jaguars.
