Salpointe’s Luis Garcia and Rio Rico’s Raul Garayzar to play baseball for South Mountain

Salpointe infielder Luis Garcia announced his commitment to play for South Mountain. The senior standout had three RBI and a double to help lead the Lancers to a perfect 4-0 record last spring before the season was canceled.

Rio Rico pitcher Raul Garayzar is also headed to play for the Cougars. At 6-foot-3 and 185 pounds, Garayzar throws in the upper 80s and will be an imposing figure for the program

The Cougars are located in Phoenix and the program competes in the Arizona Community College Athletic Association (ACCAC).
