St. David finished the year with a 5-1 record and the Tigers brought home the 1A South Region title while San Manuel made the playoffs for the first time since 2011. Elfrida Valley Union got five games in but, unfortunately, Baboquivari was unable to play any games due to COVID.

Logan Davis threw for 1,062 yards with 16 TDs. The top junior in the conference was Talon Haynie of St. David. Haynie rushed for 725 yards with 8 TDs and he collected 40 tackles. San Manuel sophomore Mathias Medina rushed for 275 yards, caught 20 passes with 312 yards, had 45 tackles and he scored 46 points. San Manuel freshman Nicolas Velasquez threw for 637 yards.

Andy Morales was recognized by the AIA as the top high school reporter in 2014, he was awarded the Ray McNally Award in 2017, a 2019 AZ Education News award winner and he has been a youth, high school and college coach for over 30 years. He was the first in Arizona to write about high school beach volleyball and high school girls wrestling. His own children have won multiple state high school championships and were named to all-state teams.
