Arizona All-American point guard Aari McDonald was named to the Naismith Midseason Watch List on Tuesday morning, adding to her impressive list of which she is an award candidate.
McDonald has also been named to the Ann Meyers Drysdale Award Top 10, the Wooden Award Top 20 and the Naismith Defensive Player of the Year Watch List.
The Fresno, Calif., native has scored in double figures in 80 straight games, the longest active streak in the nation and the longest streak in Arizona history.
She is the NCAA’s career scoring leader among active players with 2,016 points and is fourth in Arizona history with 1,747 points.
This season, McDonald averages 18.4 points, 5.4 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 2.4 steals per game.
McDonald and the Wildcats are coming off a dominating win over No. 11 Oregon on Monday and have revenge on their minds as they are set to face Washington State on Friday at 7 p.m. at McKale Center.
The Cougars upset Arizona in overtime last month in Pullman, Wash.
