Arizona extended its winning streak to eight games and secured a Frisco (Texas) College Baseball Classic championship with a 15-8 victory over Dallas Baptist on Saturday.
The back-and-forth game provided a difficult test for the Wildcats, who rallied for seven runs in the bottom of the sixth inning after allowing two runs in the top half as Dallas Baptist (7-3) built a 7-4 lead.
Arizona (9-2) scored three more in the eighth to pull away.
The Wildcats have scored 10 or more runs in four straight games, and in five of their last six games. They are averaging 12 runs and 13.9 hits in their eight-game winning streak.
