Arizona played its last exhibition Friday night before opening the 2021-22 season Tuesday at McKale Center against Cal State Northridge.

The Wildcats dominated Arizona Christian 110-39 on Friday night behind freshmen Madison Conner (game-high 18 points) and Gisela Sanchez (17 points). They combined for eight of Arizona’s 15 3-point shots.

After forcing Eastern Washington into 37 turnovers in an 84-25 win on Oct. 28, the Wildcats made Arizona Christian turn the ball over 32 times.

Arizona tallied 26 steals and four blocked shots and held the Firestorm to only 27.9 percent shooting from the field.
 
Adia Barnes’ team was also dominant on the glass with a 46-28 rebound differential in the game and the Wildcats’ bench outscored Arizona Christian’s bench 71-16.  
 
Cate Reese had a game-high 12 rebounds with seven coming on the offensive end while Lauren Ware had seven rebounds.

Former Marana standout Baylee Slaughter, a senior forward, had 10 points to lead Arizona Christian. She made 5 of 6 shots from the field while her teammates were 7 of 37.
 
Tipoff for the game against Cal State Northridge on Tuesday is at 5 p.m.
