Hello Wildcat fans,
It’s been a tough week heading into the holidays.
As many of you know by now, our game against Texas was canceled due to COVID protocols. When we found out, we were all upset. This was a big game for us and it was going to be on ESPN. This game was marked on our calendars for a long time and was a chance to prove ourselves again. We found out the day before the game, so we were already in Vegas waiting to play.
We drove to NAU on Thursday of this week and played them on Friday. Our game ended around 6 p.m. and by the time we showered and ate, we didn’t get out of the gym until about 7. Then we hit the road and drove to Vegas getting in around 10:30. We found out about an hour before the announcement came out that the game was canceled.

Many of our families and fans came out to Vegas to watch us play and unfortunately there was no way we could play. Of course we are upset and want to play but we have to look at the bigger picture and make sure that everyone remains safe and healthy. Our next game will be after the Christmas break at USC on New Year’s Eve.
I hope everyone enjoys the holidays and gets to be with their loved ones.
In other news, school is officially over for the semester. We won’t return until 2022. This will be a nice break to get away from schoolwork and just enjoy the free time we have to focus only on basketball. This next semester will be my last semester in school and I cannot be more excited.
After this semester, I will have my master’s degree, which was my goal coming into college. I do not know if I will go for my doctorate degree, but regardless, after this season, I am taking a long break from school. Five years is a long time for me!
