Former Canyon del Oro standout Tianna Carter was named Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Women’s Basketball Player of the Week on Feb. 8. Carter was a defensive force against St. Andrews for North Carolina Central, grabbing 10 rebounds (six defensive) to go along with six steals and five blocked shots. Her six steals were a career high and part of the Eagles’ modern-era program-record 30 steals as a team.
Angel Addleman (Palo Verde), Nikya Orange (Tanque Verde) and Luisayde Chavez (Rio Rico) were selected to the All-ACCAC and All-Region I, Division II teams playing for Pima.
Former Walden Grove standout Daniel Moody was named All-ACCAC Third Team and second team All-Region I, Division II playing for Pima.
