Saying he “never felt better” Arizona guard Kerr Kriisa said he’ll be able to play this weekend when Arizona plays in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Friday.
“Of course,” Kriisa said when I asked if he’d play this weekend. “If I didn’t (think I would) then my leg probably wouldn’t be healing as good, too. It’s all mental now. You gotta believe and I’m believing.”
Kriisa said when it happened – against Stanford on Thursday – he went down and it looked bad. He had to be helped off the court and he recently posted a photo on Twitter that didn’t look attractive.
But he said he’s healing well and ready.
“When it happened, I was thinking it was over,” he said. “I never really had a big sprain before when the moment hit, I was scared to look down. It snapped and looked like it was in a different direction. Luckily nothing broke.”
Kerr Kriisa provides an update on his ankle. He said he underwent four hours of rehabilitation in the morning. Obviously determined to try to play Friday and/or Sunday at San Diego. pic.twitter.com/pLmFU4FKWd
