GAME SUMMARY: No. 1-ranked St. David continued its dominance compiling 532 yards in total offense in the rout of Joseph City. It was the second title for St. David (10-0) in as many years and fourth in five years. The Tigers’ record in those five years was 49-2. Joseph City (9-2) was the 1999 state champion and the last team to beat St. David, in the 1999 state semifinals.

Zach Williams, who finished with seven receptions for 147 yards, scored four times for St. David and quarterback Bowdie Gill completed 9 of 14 passes for 207 yards and four touchdowns. Gill added a 60-yard fumble return for a touchdown in the third quarter.

Joseph City gained 271 yards of total offense but had seven turnovers (three fumbles, three interceptions and once on downs).

St. David had 325 yards rushing with two backs gaining more than 100 yards — Gill with 115 yards on 13 carries and Philip LaSueur led all rushers with 122 yards on 19 carries.
