American Legion Western Region: Tucson falls to Texas in semifinal round

Tucson Post 7 lost to Texas 9-3 Saturday to end their run at the American Legion Western Region taking place inf Fairfield, California with a 2-2 record and a third place finish.

Tucson led 2-0 in the top of the first inning but Texas took control of the game with four runs in the bottom of the second. Juan Hernandez had a double and an RBI, Jaden Leon went 2 for 4 with an RBI, Max Leyva picked up a single and Genaro Brito had a hit and an RBI. Hernandez and Leyva saw pitching action.

Texas (4-0) will face the winner of Hawaii (2-1) and California (2-1) on Sunday for a shot at the American Legion World Series.
