The top-ranked Pima women improved to 4-0 on the year with a 4-0 victory over GateWay at home on Saturday. The victory opened up conference play for Aztecs.
Former Cienega standout Delaney Buntin scored on an assist from former Sahuaro standout Nayeli Vidal in the 28th minute to open up the scoring and former Walden Grove standout Meredith Scott scored on an assist from former Catalina Foothill standout Caitlyn Maher in the 60th.
Former Salpointe standout Kyleigh Oliver provided the final two goals with Scott assisting her in the 63rd minute and the 67th minute. The Aztec defense limited the Geckos to one shot with former Salpointe keeper Angelina Amparano coming up with the save. Former Cienega keeper Adriana Pacheco saw action in the box in the final 24 minutes of play.
The Aztecs will play at South Mountain on Tuesday in Phoenix at 12:30 p.m.
