Pima Soccer: Men and Women blank Gilbert-Chandler

The Pima men blanked Chandler-Gilbert 8-0 on Saturday to move to 7-1-1 overall and 4-1-1 in ACCAC play.

Sophomore Nicholas Bianchi scored a season-high four goals and he now leads the Aztecs with 10 goals. Jacob Garcia (Walden Grove) finished the game with two goals and two assists. Ernesto Osornio scored and had two assists, Cristian Gutierrez (Cholla) scored the final goal of the game off a penalty kick in the 65th minute. Daniel Rendon (Tucson) also had two assists.

Cristian Sattin was at the net in the first half finishing with two saves and Aaron Quezada played the second half and had one save. The men will play at Scottsdale on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.

The Pima women beat Chandler-Gilbert 2-0 on Saturday to improve to 8-1 over and 5-1 in the ACCAC.

Kyleigh Oliver (Salpointe) found the back of the net in the 63rd minute with Caitlyn Maher (Catalina Foothills) on the assist. Nayeli Vidal (Sahuaro) scored in the 71st inside with an assist from Samantha Michel (Walden Grove.

Angelina Amparano (Salpointe) finished the game with six saves. She has 33 saves on the season. The women will play at Scottsdale on Saturday at 7 p.m.
